The municipal hospital Magdeburg administers patient files with windream based on HL7 international standard regulations

With about 140 physicians and 760 hospital beds, the municipal hospital Magdeburg represents the third largest regular hospital for acute cases in the German Sachsen-Anhalt federal state. Today, the hospital, which had already been founded in the beginning of the 18th century and thus looks back to a three hundred years history, cares of its patients according to the latest medical insights and most modern standards. This is not only true for medical treatments, but also for the administrative sector which also includes the administration of electronic patient files. These files serve physicians and nursing staff as the most important source of information for adequate therapies. Thus, the information stored in the files must be available permanently and without any gap.
