Full House at the RuhrCongress!

windream.CON 2017 sets new visitor record

Approximately 600 visitors participated at the fourth windream.CON which took place on September 19 and 20 – a stunning new record! This confirms a fact on which nearly all visi-tors agreed: that we have our finger firmly on the pulse of time, not only with our products, but also with an event such as the windream.CON. The participants were impressed by an “all around successful event“, to quote the feedback provided by visitor.

A high variety of topics and…

In particular, positive feedback was given for the high variety of different topics that were addressed and discussed in detail. As a special highlight, the key-notes should be mentioned.

One the one hand, Frank Busemann, former silver medal winner in the discipline of Olympic de-cathlon, presented strategies for motivating not only competitive athletes but also every person in the audience for their career goals in a very humorous and entertaining way.

Prof. Dr. Stefan Gröner, on the other hand, talked about ”digital disruption“ and explained what digitalization is all about in a very interesting presentation. ”Finding new solutions with flexible struc-tures“ is what is of highest importance for the future, he emphasized in an interview after the presentation.

Another really interesting presentation was given by business consultant Bernhard Zöller about the topic “ECM of the future“. He thereby gave our own presenters – especially our head of product management Werner Schlieper and our CEO Roger David – a perfect background for their own presentation, as this was exactly the topic of their key notes: to show the way windream will go in the future, which milestones we will pass and which products and technologies will accompany us on this journey. All in all, deep insights were provided into our product and business strategies, which can only be presented to partners and interested parties at a trade conference such as the windream.CON.

Another highly attended presentation series was “windream put into practice“, as the main focus was on concrete windream projects that have already been realized or that are still on the way to being realized. In this series, presenters who were mainly windream customers shared their experi-ences with using the ECM system and gave valuable hints and tips for the efficient use of electronic systems for document or workflow management.

…a relaxed evening

The first conference day ended with a relaxed evening event at the lounge of the Vonovia Ruhrsta-dion in Bochum. “Mind reader” Dr. Florian Ilgen amazed the visitors of this evening event with a both professional and humorous show that proved how people can be influenced via, supposedly, manipulation. The audience reacted in an accordingly amused way, especially the people who vol-unteered to participate in the “Dr. Ilgen’s mind experiments“. It was just amazing to see how seem-ingly easy it was for him to gain insights into the minds of his “test subjects“.
The rest of the evening stood under the motto of football, as not only “table football“ but also a “goal shooting wall” were available for everybody’s amusement. A cartoon artist, who was apparently fully booked throughout the whole evening, portrayed the typical characteristics of the guests’ faces in a humorous way. The drawings could even be kept as a souvenir at the end of the evening.
Some of the portrayed participants even attached their pieces of art to the back of their participants’ badge to present them to visitors and participants on the second day of the conference!

On one point which all participants agreed on: The communication between windream users, deve-lopers, customers, partners and interested parties is of special importance. For this purpose, the conference is an ideal platform. Everybody is already looking forward to the next windream.CON in two years and we are certain: “We will be back!“
