Continuous growth also in the business year 2010
January 25, 2011 |Bochum. – windream GmbH, producer and provider of the Enterprise Content Management system windream, completed the business year 2010 with an exceedingly positive result. Compared to 2009, the company from Bochum achieved an increase of 18 percent in the number of licenses sold. With a pre-tax return of 17 percent, the pre-tax result surpasses that of the previous year.
Extended Portfolio
One of the reasons for the positive company result is the considerably extended product portfolio. Next to the core aspect of the windream ECM system, it also contains various solutions, add-ons and integrations into third-party products. It has become clear that an increasing number of companies are not only planning the implementation of an efficient ECM system, but also wish to integrate further software solutions into their IT infrastructures, which can be connected to the ECM seamlessly. This includes solutions for optimizing business processes as well as the integration of an ECM system in Microsoft SharePoint Servers. In all these sectors, windream GmbH are in the best of possible positions, thanks to their product portfolio.

The basis for the success of windream GmbH, however, is still the innovative, patented technology of the Enterprise Content Management System windream, available in the fifth generation since 2010. Numerous suggestions from customers and partners were realized in the development of the new version. The integration of a tool for the dynamic creation of individual views on document stocks under the name “My windream“ in windream version 5.0 is considered a groundbreaking feature. It is completely unique and not offered by any other ECM System on the market in a comparable form.
The big demand for the new windream version, which almost all existing customers requested and installed as an update to earlier versions, shows that windream follows both the requirements of the market and of their customers exactly.
Company licenses
This is confirmed by the fact that an increasing number of companies and potential customers do not only want to use an ECM system and the additional products connected to it in single sections or departments, but company-wide. In this context, windream GmbH could win several major customers – some of them also international – in the last business year, who purchased the ECM system windream as a company or business license. Among them are the Babcock Noell GmbH, Würzburg, an international company leading in nuclear, magnet and environmental technology, and other companies from different branches.
