Legal Conformity of the windream ECM System Confirmed

windream Fullfills the GoBD Requirements Regarding Legal Compliance, even for Archiving on Changeable Media

May 30, 2018 | Bochum. windream GmbH, manufacturer and provider of the windream Enterprise Content Management System, got the legal compliance of their ECM software suite confirmed by an independent and recognized auditing instance. The current legal report confirms “complete compliance with legal regulations“ the report precisely says.

Legal Requirements are Complied with, even for Changeable Media

After testing the windream ECM system, the author comes to the conclusion that windream complies with the legal regulations not only if unchangeable storage media are used. Compliance is also guaranteed if changeable media are used.

Unique Selling Point

This gives windream a unique selling point, which cannot be found with any other product on the market and from which customers and interested parties planning to use an ECM system will hugely benefit. The report confirms that the choice of the storage medium (changeable or unchangeable) is not an important factor if windream is used. windream users will benefit immensely from this fact as they can choose which kind of media to use for archiving their documents.

Compliant with German, Austrian and Swiss Law

The new legal report refers to the audit of windream DMS version 6.5 and version 7.1 of the windream archive. It is valid for Germany and Austria. The company has also requested a separate report for Switzerland. This report comes to the conclusion that windream also completely complies with the legal requirements valid in Switzerland, the so-called “Geschäftsbücherverordnung (GeBüV)”.

As a result, windream is recognized as legally compliant in Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
