ECM for Engineers: visuplus Integrates windream into Own Project Management Software
February 20, 2012 | Gräfenhainichen – Many branch-specific applications already offer integrations of the windream ECM system. At this year’s CeBIT, the windream partner visuplus GmbH (hall 3, stand J20) will present an integration into their project management software for engineers: visuplus ECM offers all classical document management features and forms a consistent system with project management as well as ECM functions.
The visuplus project management software contains, among other things, functions for bid preparation, calculation, controlling, staff management and liquidity monitoring. It offers engineers, architects, and tax, corporate, and management consultants a clear overview of project statuses, and thus the chance to take regulative measures. Since engineering firms also have to deal with large amounts of documents, e-mails and other files which are very time-consuming to store and manage, visuplus and windream have now developed a solution specifically designed for engineering firms. At the CeBIT 2012, visuplus will present this system to the public for the first time.
visuplus ECM significantly reduces the time required for document management in engineering firms. Files can be assigned to specific projects or addresses as early as during the capture and storage processes; indexing processes, e.g. in the context of projects or addresses, are carried out automatically by the system. This allows users to quickly retrieve their documents, via the visuplus search, on the Explorer level, via the windream fulltext search, or via the windream Gadgets. The solution also enables users to create various versions of documents and to archive documents compliantly. This way, files remain retrievable, even if they are renamed or moved within the folder structure of the drive.
