windream GmbH at the CeBIT 2011: Hall 3, Stand J 20
New Products and Extended Software Solutions for the ECM System windream
January 27, 2011 |Bochum. – windream GmbH, producer and provider of the Enterprise Content Management system windream, will present new software products for the ECM system windream on this year’s CeBIT. Among the solutions presented at the trade fair are an extended windream ECM integration into Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and a new version of the windream backup tool for the storage system Centera of the US producer EMC. Next to the current version 5.0 of the ECM system windream, the IT company from Bochum will also present its Business Process Management system windream BPM, now with an even further extended range of functions.
windream BPM with new functions
The current version of the Business Process Management software windream BPM includes some changes to the previous version. For example, windream BPM now includes a Webclient, enabling the management of business processes via the internet. Furthermore, the windream BPM Webclient also integrates the windream Webportal into its interface. This allows the display and editing of business processes and documents connected to these processes saved in windream, regardless of your location. Additionally, windream BPM offers an intuitive and individually configurable process history, which automatically records all previous steps of a business process in chronological order. The log is offered to the user as a PDF file and can be saved in windream, e.g. with a checked invoice. An efficient interface allows a configuration and individualization of the BPM system according to your specific needs.
Extended backup tool for Centera
With the windream backup tool for Centera, users can archive documents of a windream system in a Centera storage system in a safe and legally correct way. The solution protects the archived data from a possible breakdown of the Centera storage, since the data is written on a separate storage medium and offered for editing offline under consideration of the existing user rights. The windream backup tool automatically forwards the data to Centera as soon as the storage system is available again. The synchronization process between the offline storage and Centera is largely automated. With the backup tool for Centera, users are offered maximum protection from loss of data.
ECM integration in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010
The new version of the windream ECM solution for Microsoft SharePoint Servers now also supports SharePoint Server 2010. Furthermore, the solution supports the use of Web-Parts. With this technology, it is e.g. possible to view and edit the complete folder structures and contents of a windream drive in the interface of the SharePoint application.

Of course, the current version 5.0 of the windream ECM system will be a central aspect of the exhibition program. The portfolio is rounded off by windream Exchange, an efficient solution for e-mail archiving in Microsoft Outlook or Exchange Server.
