Enterprise Content Management with windream 5.0

August 27, 2010 | Bochum. – windream GmbH will focus its activities at this year's DMS EXPO from October 26 to 28 in Stuttgart on the new windream version 5.0. The supplier of the Enterprise Content Management System windream will, just like in former years at Cologne, attend the fair with a partner stand. This year, the fair will take place at the new exhibition center in Stuttgart.

The exhibitions of windream GmbH will be completed by hardware and software solutions which enhance the windream ECM-system by new and interesting features and which have been developed by the windream co-exhibitors.

windream 5.0 and further ECM-solutions

In comparison with the previous version 4.5, the new windream version 5.0 provides a whole variety of new functions which have also been adjusted visually. Thus, e.g. the windream 5.0 retrieval application and the document viewer named "windream DocView" will occur in a completely redesigned layout with new functions.

Further new features, which have partly been shown on the last CeBIT already, are the windream Virtual Folders with a dynamic generation of individual sights of the document volumes of a windream ECM-system, the complete 64 Bit support also in mixed mode with 32 Bit clients, the user-specific recycle bin for documents which have been deleted from a windream system, and the windream records viewer which can be configured individually.

Further on, the windream version 5.0 also provides other features: Automatic check for duplicates (single instancing), scalable document properties, configuration of an auto-completion mode for input fields, different labels for the same index fields of the windream-specific object types, extension of the maximum length of strings in string fields to 4 kilobytes, a wizard for the windream server configuration and many other features.

Besides windream 5.0, windream GmbH will also present the current version of its e-mail archiving solution windream Exchange and the new web client of the business process management system named windream BPM.

Positive Expectations

Basically, windream GmbH has a positive opinion on the movement of the DMS EXPO from Cologne to Stuttgart and on the fact that two fairs - DMS EXPO and the IT & Business - will take place at the same time.
