1) "Digital Now" support program
To make it easier for SMEs to implement digitization, the new "Digital Now - Investment Support for SMEs" funding program offers financial grants to stimulate corresponding investments in small and medium-sized enterprises - including craft businesses and freelancers.
Who can apply for the grant?
Medium-sized companies
- from all sectors (including craft enterprises and freelancers)
- with 3 to 499 employees,
who are planning corresponding digitization projects, for example investments in software/hardware and/or in employee training.

Type, scope and amount of funding
The maximum funding amount is 50,000 euros per company; in the case of investments in value chains and/or networks, it can be up to 100,000 euros per company. The subsidy is calculated proportionally to the investment costs. The maximum funding rates are graded according to the size of the company (full-time equivalent employees - FTE22).
2) "go-digital" support program
With its three modules "Digitized Business Processes," "Digital Market Development" and "IT Security," "go-digital" specifically targets small and medium-sized enterprises in the commercial sector and the skilled trades. With practical effect, the program offers consulting services to keep pace with technological and social developments in online commerce, digitalization of everyday business and the increasing need for security in digital networking.

Who can apply for the grant?
Companies in the commercial sector, including the skilled trades, with technological potential.
- employment of less than 100 employees
- Annual sales or an annual balance sheet total for the previous year of no more than 20 million euros
- Permanent establishment or branch office in Germany
- Eligibility for funding under the de minimis Regulation
