Donation action: e.b.e. epilepsy federal parents' association

Federal parents' association for epilepsy receives donation from windream

Nadine Benzler (Managing Director of the e.b.e.)

A Very Special Christmas Campaign

At the end of 2019 we have decided to launch a very special Christmas promotion. We would like to support non-profit organisations and institutions to which our employees have a personal connection with with a donation of 1,000 euros each. Our employees visited the facilities and ceremonially handed over the donation cheque on behalf of our company.

The "e.b.e. epilepsy-bundes-elternverband" supports the parents of children suffering from epilepsy. According to the e.b.e., epilepsies are the most common neurological diseases. More than half of epilepsies occur in childhood and adolescence, i.e. in the first two decades of life. At baby age, about 80-100 out of 100,000 newborns develop epilepsy. Between 10 and 20 years of age, 50 out of 100,000 children develop epilepsy. The diagnosis "epilepsy" changes the life situation of the family drastically.

Parents have many questions, and the amount of information available on the Internet is enormous. But targeted individual advice is more effective in many cases. The aim of the work of the epilepsy parents' association is therefore to strengthen the competence of parents. Every child should receive the support that corresponds to his or her abilities in order to enable the free development of the personality. For this reason, education, the reduction of prejudices and the offer of possibilities for relief are very important for the e.b.e.

The daughter of one of our employees is severely affected by this disease, so the parents turned to this institution and are supported by very good personal advice on concrete treatment options.
