In a welcoming speech, Stephan Serger thanked all participants and visitors and set the mood for the day ahead. Serger has been the new CEO of windream GmbH since the beginning of 2023 and thus succeeds Roger David. 

This was followed by the rest of the lecture programme, which was spread over one main and two side stages in the Stadtwerke Bochum LOUNGE.

A large part of the presentations dealt with further developments of our established windream solutions. Among the highlights were the windream Live Search with AI-supported Management Summary, new workflow solutions for requisitions and travel expense reports in windream BPM as well as a look at the use of windream in the Microsoft Cloud. 

More than ever, CON 2023 was characterised by a new beginning with a focus on the current main topic of our group of companies: the future Solution Suite of the dataglobal Group.

The Solution Suite will unite our companies' solutions under one roof - from ECM and workflow management to email security and other new solutions. As a customer, you will continue to use the windream solutions you are familiar with, but will receive them within a holistic software suite that will offer you further possibilities for the expansion of your digital workplace. 

As part of the programme, it was emphasised that this will enable us to offer an even broader portfolio of solutions and services. The model includes the provision of services in the cloud, on-prem and hybrid variants.

In addition to the windream product world, our plans with the dataglobal Group were also in the spotlight.

Stephan Serger, Dr Christian Uhl (CEO dataglobal Group) and Ulrich Jansen (VP Technology dataglobal Group) talked about the future strategy of the group and about the extended possibilities for our companies as well as for partners and customers. There was a great deal of interest and the feedback in the subsequent discussions was consistently positive.

This year's location was the Vonvovia Ruhrstadion, the home ground of first division club VfL Bochum. In the spacious and ultra-modern Stadtwerke Bochum LOUNGE, we were given an impressive view of the pitch and the stands.

At the joint pre-event the evening before, we took advantage of the opportunity and invited guests to a joint tour of the stadium, including Fiege beer tasting and a currywurst meal. A successful get-together before the actual event.  

On the day of the CON, VfL cult stadium announcer Michael Wurst hosted the event and TV and comedy legend Hennes Bender was on hand as a show act. The latter created an exuberant atmosphere with a stand-up programme lasting just under an hour. The two Bochum veterans created a successful and above all entertaining addition to the informative part of the event.

Great topics, great presentations and a large number of participants - that was windreamCON 2023. Above all, we are pleased about the lively exchange and the positive feedback on the contents, which will continue to accompany us in the future. We are happy about a successful windreamCON 2023 and would like to thank all partners and customers who contributed to the success of the event!
